The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Creation manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Creation is looking for the big counter here.

James closes the distance and clinches up with Creation, looking for a takedown. James pushes Creation against the ropes but Creation circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Creation flicks out a counter leg kick but James steps away.
James shoots in for a takedown but Creation shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Creation was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Creation has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
