PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aleksander Kazimierz (ranked 1515 p4p, 90 weight class) and Future Winger (ranked 1239 p4p, 73 weight class). Winger has chosen Remember The Name as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winger connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kazimierz. Kazimierz circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Winger throws a body shot but no joy.
Kazimierz moves out of range of the strikes.
Winger ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kazimierz moves away.

Kazimierz drives through with a takedown into guard.

Winger manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Winger avoiding damage.
Winger digs a right hand underneath Kazimierz's ribcage. Kazimierz let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Winger tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Winger lands an uppercut.

Kazimierz has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Winger is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Winger stalling the fight.
Winger's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Winger is leaning against Kazimierz and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Kazimierz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Winger pulls his leg out and moves away.
Winger misses with the combination.
Kazimierz tries for a takedown but Winger sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aleksander Kazimierz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Winger throws a body punch but Kazimierz moves out of range.

Winger fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kazimierz, pushing him back against the cage.

Kazimierz changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Winger fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Winger lands a left and a right that send Kazimierz crashing to the mat, dazed. Winger thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Kazimierz is rocked!

It looks like Aleksander Kazimierz has been cut.
Future Winger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Winger lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kazimierz at a distance.
Kazimierz is breathing heavily.
Kazimierz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Winger swivels and escapes.
Kazimierz doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Winger fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Kazimierz to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Kazimierz looks to clinch but Winger throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Kazimierz taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Future Winger decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
