The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Guerrero looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Guerrero tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Smith is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Guerrero can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Guerrero tries to reverse the position but Smith maintains control.

Smith looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Guerrero is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Smith is working for a guillotine from mount but Guerrero frees his head quite easily.
Guerrero can't escape the position.
Guerrero might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Guerrero is squirming around, avoiding Smith's attempts to control the action.

Guerrero looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Guerrero.

Smith is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Guerrero knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Guerrero for a finish.

Smith is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Guerrero has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Smith has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Guerrero taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Smith doesn't care though - he's delighted!
