The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hugs forces Won back against the cage and clinches.
Won jumps guard and drags Hugs to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Hugs missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hugs's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Hugs trying to control but Won is working from the bottom.
Hugs stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Won swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hugs is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hugs is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hugs tries to free his leg and advance position but Won is retaining full guard.
Won bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hugs's guard.

Hugs controls Won momentarily but Won frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hugs keeping moving, preventing Won from controlling successfully.
Hugs is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Hugs manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Won manages to get himself to full guard.

Hugs is looking to work some ground and pound but Won has wrist control.
Won keeping moving, preventing Hugs from controlling successfully.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Won is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've been hearing that Hugs has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Won had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hugs defends it easily.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hugs connects with a nice short shot to Won's temple.

Hugs seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Hugs cracks Won with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Hugs looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Won covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Lodzov Hugs was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
