Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kyoksu Tuhura (ranked 6584 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Engelmann (ranked 6484 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Engelmann told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Engelmann throws a head kick but Tuhura moves out of range.
Engelmann dives in and grabs Tuhura's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tuhura pushes down on Engelmann's head and hops out.

Engelmann takes the fight into the clinch.
Tuhura fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Engelmann throws a head punch that misses.
Tuhura can't break the clinch.
A shot in the inside from Engelmann.
Tuhura on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Tuhura manages to break the clinch.
Engelmann shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tuhura as he jumps to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tuhura throws a wild body kick that Engelmann sees coming a mile off.
Engelmann connects with a body shot.
Engelmann dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Tuhura. That did some damage!
Horrible takedown attempt by Engelmann or perhaps it was just good defense by Tuhura, which made it look bad.
Kyoksu Tuhura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Engelmann.

Tuhura wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

As Engelmann looks to move away, Tuhura throws a big counter combo but Engelmann just gets out of the way.

Tuhura is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Engelmann is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
