Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mohammed Gentry (ranked 6804 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyosuke Shibaraki (ranked 4090 p4p, 0 weight class). Shibaraki is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by SAVAGE 101. Mohammed Gentry has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shibaraki misses with a body shot

and Gentry holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Shibaraki wants to break free but Gentry has control.

Shibaraki wants the takedown. Gentry is fighting it off but Shibaraki persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gentry's guard against the cage.

Shibaraki lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Shibaraki postures up and lands a big shot to Gentry's brow.
Shibaraki is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Gentry lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gentry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gentry postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Gentry really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gentry throws an elbow that misses. Shibaraki uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gentry's guard. Nice move by Shibaraki!

Shibaraki connects with a couple of short punches.
Gentry wants to stand and escape but Shibaraki is having none of it.

Shibaraki decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gentry, up you get!

Shibaraki is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Shibaraki is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gentry postures up and lands a big shot to Shibaraki's brow.
Gentry will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Gentry keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Shibaraki's head.

Shibaraki pushes Gentry off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Gentry throws a sloppy head kick and Shibaraki moves out of range easily.

Gentry avoids the head kick by Shibaraki.
Shibaraki takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Shibaraki has managed to clinch.
Gentry keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Shibaraki's efforts to push away.

Shibaraki jumps guard and drags Gentry to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Shibaraki wants to hit a switch here but Gentry passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Shibaraki there!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Shibaraki is in a horrible position here. Gentry smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Shibaraki wants to control but Gentry is having none of it.
Shibaraki manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Gentry looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shibaraki with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Shibaraki is pressing down on Gentry's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Gentry would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Gentry trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Gentry is in close to Shibaraki's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Gentry throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Shibaraki was covering up waiting for the punch and Gentry finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Shibaraki pulls Gentry in close to prevent any damage.

Shibaraki pushes a forearm under Gentry's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Gentry is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
