Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marty Snoozeman (ranked 6259 p4p, 524 weight class) and Asmodius Crowley (ranked 3834 p4p, 409 weight class). Snoozeman comes to the cage accompanied by Nebraska - Bruce Springsteen. Asmodius Crowley is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Asmodius Crowley!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snoozeman takes one to the side of the head.
Snoozeman throws an off balance right hand

and Crowley counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Snoozeman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Crowley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Snoozeman looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Crowley is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Snoozeman is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Snoozeman is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Crowley dives into side control.
Snoozeman sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Crowley takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Snoozeman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Crowley is one step ahead there.

Snoozeman is trying to control but Crowley manages to pass to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Snoozeman is looking to improve his position but Crowley isn't that keen on the idea.
Snoozeman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Snoozeman tries to hold on but Crowley pushes him away.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Snoozeman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Crowley manages to avoid it.
Snoozeman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Crowley moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Crowley steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Snoozeman.
Snoozeman gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Crowley.
Crowley moves out of range of the strikes.
Snoozeman throws a looping overhand right but Crowley ducks down to avoid it.
Crowley has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Crowley unleashes a big counter combination but Snoozeman bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Crowley looks to throw the jab but Snoozeman is out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Snoozeman on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

and Crowley decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Snoozeman's guard.
Crowley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Crowley content just to control the position here.

Asmodius Crowley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Snoozeman is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Crowley pulls him back up using the underhooks.

It looked like Snoozeman wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Snoozeman is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Crowley is defending well.

Crowley tightens his grip and picks Snoozeman up, before dumping him to the ground. Snoozeman manages to land in guard.

Crowley's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Crowley tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Snoozeman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Crowley.
Crowley looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Snoozeman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Crowley sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Snoozeman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Snoozeman wants it to stay on the feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Crowley counters with a nice double leg into side control. Snoozeman won't be happy with that.
Crowley gets to mount! Snoozeman was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Snoozeman is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Crowley controlling the pace for now.
Let's hope that Crowley has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
