The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finch shoots in for a double leg but Callahan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Finch fails with a takedown attempt.
Callahan stuffs the takedown attempt from Finch. Finch gets slowly back to his feet.
Sal Callahan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tanner Finch.
Callahan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Finch.
Callahan throws a head kick but Finch moves out of range.
Callahan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Finch defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Finch drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Finch sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Callahan is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The ground and pound from Finch seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Callahan takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Finch wants to take a breather but Callahan manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Finch.

Oh but Callahan is tightening it up a little... Finch has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Finch reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Finch taps out! Nice BJJ there by Callahan!
