Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Denny Morton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chris Pringels!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morton doesn't manage to clinch there - Pringels circles away.

Pringels drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Morton tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Pringels easily slips into full mount!
Pringels prevents Morton from getting the reversal.
Pringels controlling the pace for now.
Morton wants to hold on but Pringels pushes him away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morton manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Pringels is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Morton can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pringels controls the pace.

Pringels postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Pringels is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Let's hope that Pringels has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Pringels gets to his feet - Morton follows without any prompting.
Pringels looks to land a left hand but Morton moved out of range nicely.
Morton throws a big counter combination but Pringels scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Morton tries to clinch but Pringels is having none of it.

Pringels throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Morton was covering up waiting for the punch and Pringels finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Pringels is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Pringels wants to pass the guard but Morton is defending well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Morton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pringels paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pringels has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Pringels closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Morton's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pringels pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Morton is keeping the position for now.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pringels stands up over Morton, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Pringels is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Morton is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pringels is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Pringels is continuing to stall.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Pringels showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Morton drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pringels pulls his leg out and moves away.
Pringels looks to land a combination but Morton avoids it well.

Oh Morton is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pringels arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Morton's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
