The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huff displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Steele.
Steele throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like Leland Huff has been cut.
Huff keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Huff tries to counter with a takedown but Steele is quick to defend against it.

A solid leg kick lands there for Steele.
Huff looks for a takedown but Steele sprawls well.
Huff shoots in for a takedown but Steele shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
As Huff backs off Steele throws a huge counter combo but Huff manages to avoid it all.

Huff gets to his feet. Steele looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Huff misses with a takedown attempt - Steele sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Steele tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Huff manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Huff drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Steele is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Huff asserts his dominance and retains side control.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Huff stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
