Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scott Stiles (ranked 24217 p4p, 542 weight class) and Jun Yin Park (ranked 24735 p4p, 536 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Scott Stiles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jun Yin Park!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Winston Howard and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stiles shoots in looking for a takedown but Yin Park manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stiles's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jun Yin Park seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yin Park drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Stiles tries to buck Yin Park off but Yin Park is having none of it.

Stiles is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Yin Park's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stiles is on top in guard.

Stiles might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Stiles with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Stiles has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Stiles controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Yin Park manages to break the clinch.
A telegraphed right hand from Stiles misses the target.
Stiles tries to clinch but Yin Park moves out of range.
Stiles fails with a takedown attempt.
Yin Park wants to counter with a clinch but Stiles pushes him away.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Yin Park shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Yin Park was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Stiles tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Nice takedown defense from Yin Park. No joy for Stiles on that attempt.
Yin Park feints the counter takedown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stiles is defended easily by Yin Park.

Yin Park shoots in and gets a takedown into Stiles's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stiles throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stiles is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Stiles thows a huge punch but Yin Park dodges it nicely.
Stiles winds up and cracks Yin Park with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Stiles takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Yin Park is trying to control but can't.
Stiles looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Stiles is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yin Park can do anything to dispel that myth.

Stiles is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Yin Park sees it coming and defends easily.
Stiles looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Yin Park really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stiles. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Stiles is nestled in close to Yin Park, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Stiles passes to side control.
Stiles happy to just control the position for now.

Stiles tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Stiles has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Yin Park wants to control but Stiles postures up.
Stiles is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Yin Park will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Stiles cracks Yin Park with a big elbow.
Stiles is staying tight to Yin Park's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Stiles seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Yin Park for as long as he can get away with.
You can see the frustration on Yin Park's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Stiles in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Stiles shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Yin Park is trying to defend but Stiles finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Stiles seems to be working for a kimura but Yin Park defends the submission attempt.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Stiles lands a nice short elbow.

Yin Park has hold of Stiles's hands but Stiles slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Stiles passes to full mount!
Stiles lands a couple of good shots and Yin Park has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Stiles sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Yin Park taps out!
