The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thompson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Daniel to the mat! Daniel manages to get full guard.

Thompson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Daniel shoots in looking for a takedown but Thompson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Daniel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Thompson connects with a nice short shot to Daniel's temple.
Daniel is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Thompson scores with a couple of nice shots.
