The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Edson.

Alvarez misses with a left hand
and Edson counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Edson throws a series of punches but Alvarez avoids them all with ease.
Edson lands with a slapping head kick.

and Edson counters with a solid body kick.
Alvarez's jab looks to have found its range, popping Edson under the eye.

It looks like Yoel Edson has been cut.

and Edson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Alvarez is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Alvarez throws a pinpoint strike between Edson's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Edson crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Alvarez scores a great knockout victory!
