Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryon Schultz (ranked 6140 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jax Damon (ranked 5982 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schultz tries for a takedown but Damon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Damon fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Damon connects with a good right hand that stumbles Schultz. Schultz circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Damon works Schultz's body with a nice hook.
Damon throws a left and a right that both miss

Damon is trying to force a seperation but Schultz has the dominant position.

Damon is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Damon throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Damon tries to circle away but Schultz has him pinned against the cage.

Damon wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Schultz has him pressed against the cage.
Damon lands a shot to the body.

Schultz changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Damon fights it off and pushes away nicely.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Damon has had enough of the clinch but Schultz keeps him there for the moment.

Damon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Damon is trying to trip Schultz. He has hold of a leg but Schultz is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Damon persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Schultz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Damon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Schultz is working away from the top position though.

Damon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Schultz wants to control but Damon is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Schultz pulls Damon in close to prevent any damage.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Damon would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Damon lands with a shot to the body.
Damon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Schultz.
Damon throws a series of strikes that have Schultz backpedaling.
Damon has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Schultz has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Damon uses from the top position.
