And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spar lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Spar fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gagiev ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Spar moves away.
Gagiev blocks a jab.
Gagiev lands with a right hand.
Spar misses with an uppercut.
Gagiev works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Gagiev throws a body punch but Spar moves out of range.
Spar was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gagiev swings widly with a right hand
and Spar counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Gagiev lands a nice hook to Spar's body. Spar takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Spar moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Murat Gagiev has been cut.

Gagiev misses with a lunging right hand
and Gagiev takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Spar throws a body shot but no joy.
Gagiev throws a hook but Spar avoids it easily.
Spar takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Gagiev misses with a left hand
and Spar counters with a left and a right that stings Gagiev.
Gagiev throws a nice looking combination but Spar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Spar swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Nice defenses there by Spar.
Spar scoring well with a low kick there.
Spar staying out of range there.
Gagiev ducks under a wild hook from Spar.

A jab lands there for Spar.

The crowd cheers as Spar lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gagiev doesn't seem phased though.

and Spar counters with a nice uppercut.
Spar ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gagiev misses with a left hand
and Spar connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Gagiev takes a swing at Spar's ribcage but misses.

Spar bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Gagiev is rocked!
Spar and Gagiev are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Spar throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Gagiev into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Spar knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
