The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zombie throws a leg kick
and Jr Illl counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Strike Zombie has been cut.
A big right from Jr Illl misses.
Zombie takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Jr Illl is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Zombie .

Jr Illl lands a big uppercut and Zombie crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Zombie looks OK. Jr Illl waves Zombie back to his feet!

Zombie is rocked!
Jr Illl throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Zombie is still on wobbly legs! Can Jr Illl finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zombie moves out of range as Jr Illl strikes.
Zombie is looking for the big counter here.
Zombie seems to have recovered his senses.

Zombie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Zombie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jr Illl tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Zombie wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Zombie lands a decent elbow from side control.
You can see the frustration on Jr Illl's face as Zombie controls the position.
Jr Illl might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zombie works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Jr Illl is trying to escape the position but Zombie is controlling the position.
Zombie lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jr Illl down.
The referee asks Zombie politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Zombie prefers to stall for the moment though.

Zombie has hold of Jr Illl's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jr Illl tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Zombie cranks the arm and Jr Illl screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jr Illl, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
