Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lazyface goes for a double leg but Carver avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Carver continues to drive forward.
Lazyface gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Carver counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Lazyface!

Carver decides to stand back up. Carver steps back and let's Lazyface get back to his feet.

Carver wants to stand but Lazyface has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Carver throws a strike but Lazyface rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Lazyface looking to sit in guard and control but Carver gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Carver is looking to stand up but Lazyface won't let him.

Carver decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Carver tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lazyface just stands there and leans against the cage.

Carver manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Carver has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lazyface can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Lazyface tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Carver paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lazyface tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Carver swivels and escapes.
Carver tries to counter by clinching up but Lazyface breaks away and moves out of range.

Carver tightens his grip and picks Lazyface up, before dumping him to the ground. Lazyface manages to land in guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carver accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lazyface utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Carver won't allow Lazyface to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lazyface is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That was a close second round but I would say that Johnnie Carver will probably get the nod.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lazyface feints a jab promting Carver to slip. Lazyface then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Carver slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Carver tries to score a body lock takedown but Lazyface shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
