Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darnell Donovan (ranked 6360 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Rollack (ranked 5079 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Pete Rollack was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollack wants to clinch.
Donovan tries to counter by clinching up but Rollack breaks away and moves out of range.
Rollack takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

An attempted straight right counter from Donovan misses the target.
Donovan connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rollack. Rollack circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rollack clinches up against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Rollack.
Rollack tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Donovan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

It looks like Darnell Donovan has been cut.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Rollack.
Donovan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rollack has him pressed against the cage.
Rollack swings wildly with an uppercut but Donovan uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rollack lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Donovan backwards.
Donovan wants to break the clinch but can't.
Rollack lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Rollack misses with some punches.
Rollack misses with a short punch on the inside.
Rollack prevents Donovan from breaking the clinch.
Donovan wants to break free but Rollack has control.
Donovan is trying to push Rollack away but Rollack has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Donovan blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Rollack lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Rollack creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Donovan with a big uppercut! Donovan tries to clinch up but Rollack pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Donovan to the mat! Donovan covers up and Rollack unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
