Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ervin Walker (ranked 4957 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Dyson (ranked 5252 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee Dyson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ervin Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lee Dyson!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Walker misses with a head kick.
Walker really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...

Dyson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dyson is nestled in close to Walker, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dyson seems to be working for a kimura but Walker defends the submission attempt.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Dyson lands a nice short elbow.

Walker is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dyson pulls his head out easily.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Dyson works his way into full mount!
Dyson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Walker is working to get back to half guard.
Walker wants to try and get back to his feet.
Dyson lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Dyson won't let Walker get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Dyson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Dyson is working for a guillotine from mount but Walker frees his head quite easily.
Walker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Dyson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Walker as he avoids it easily.
Walker went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Some bone on bone action there as Dyson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Dyson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Walker is looking to counter punch.

Dyson shoots in and gets a takedown into Walker's guard.

Walker has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Dyson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Dyson shoots for a double leg takedown but Walker sprawls well. He's pushed Dyson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dyson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ervin Walker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Dyson.

A head kick misses from Walker.
Dyson unleashes a big counter combination but Walker bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Dyson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Walker to score with a decent uppercut.

Dyson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Walker on his heels. He'll look to pass Walker's guard now, I'm sure.
Dyson is standing up over Walker. Walker looks to escape but Dyson dives into side control.
Dyson is breathing heavily.

Dyson happy to just control the position for now.
Dyson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Dyson tries to stand but Walker is controlling his head.
Dyson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Walker misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Walker is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dyson asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Dyson stands up and beckons Walker to his feet.

Dyson drives through with a takedown into Walker's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Walker is working for takedown but Dyson is calmly controlling the position for now.
Dyson has Walker pressed against the cage, preventing Walker from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Walker is trying to pull guard but Dyson has him pressed against the cage.
Dyson lands with a short punch from the clinch.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Walker can't get the takedown.
The referee is keeping an eye on Dyson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Dyson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Dyson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Dyson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Walker is proving hard to escape from.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Lee Dyson will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Walker drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dyson dives on top into guard.

Dyson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Dyson stands up over Walker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Dyson stands up and waves to Walker to follow him.

Dyson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Dyson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Walker throws Dyson to one side and escapes!

Walker leaves Dyson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Dyson looks for a takedown but Walker sprawls well.

Dyson has managed to clinch.
Dyson slows down the pace here.

Walker throws a sloppy head kick
and Dyson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Dyson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dyson.

Walker pushes Dyson off and scrambles back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
