Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jay Layne (ranked 1715 p4p, 201 weight class) and Ferdinand Marquez (ranked 3397 p4p, 357 weight class). Jay Layne is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Layne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ferdinand Marquez!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Darius Henderson and Ron Honeybunn.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marquez misses the jab.
Layne connects with a crisp jab.
Marquez lands with a right hand.
Layne scores with a jab. Marquez acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Layne needs to keep his hands up - Marquez had a free shot at his head there.
Layne stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Marquez misses with a hook. Layne ducked under it nicely.
That kick from Layne tenderised Marquez's leg. Marquez is trying to keep his angry face on.

Marquez is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Layne feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Marquez's calf.
Marquez is still on wobbly legs! Can Layne finish him?
Layne batters Marquez with a massive right followed by a huge left! Marquez is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Layne lands a final crushing right hand to drop Marquez to the mat with a gruesome thud! Layne is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jay Layne!
After the fight, Jay Layne was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
