Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zee Zeezeeloo (ranked 3870 p4p, 391 weight class) and Red Velvet (ranked 5031 p4p, 459 weight class). Red Velvet looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Velvet stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Zeezeeloo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Zeezeeloo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Velvet's waist but Velvet gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zeezeeloo off to one side.
Zeezeeloo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Zeezeeloo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Velvet is pressed up against the cage. Zeezeeloo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Velvet down to the mat. Velvet avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Velvet has control of Zeezeeloo's left arm, preventing Zeezeeloo from doing any damage.
Velvet's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've been informed that Velvet has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Zeezeeloo trying to stand up but can't free himself from Velvet's guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Zeezeeloo shoots in looking for a takedown. Velvet tries to sprawl out of it but Zeezeeloo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Velvet manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Zeezeeloo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Zeezeeloo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Velvet is fending him off so far but Zeezeeloo persists. Nope, Velvet circles away and we're back to standing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Zeezeeloo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Velvet as he jumps to the side.
Zeezeeloo is breathing heavily.
Zeezeeloo closes the distance and clinches up with Velvet, looking for a takedown. Zeezeeloo pushes Velvet against the cage but Velvet circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Velvet moves into the clinch.
Velvet has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Zeezeeloo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Velvet tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Velvet tries a body shot but Zeezeeloo blocks it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Velvet leaves Zeezeeloo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Velvet has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Velvet is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Velvet seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Zeezeeloo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
