The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pesalelei has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pesalelei there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Sigi Pesalelei has been cut.
Pesalelei instigates a clinch.

Zama tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Pesalelei avoids it.
Pesalelei looks to throw an elbow but misses.
The referee is keeping an eye on Zama - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

I was talking to Pesalelei's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Pesalelei lands with a short shot to the head.
Zama drops Pesalelei with a big knee! Will Pesalelei beat the count? Yep, he's up already and we're only at 3... let's see if he's just faking it or if he's actually OK.
Sigi Pesalelei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zama creates a bit of distance and cracks Pesalelei with a big uppercut! Pesalelei goes down! The referee pushes Zama away into a neutral corner and starts the count. 4,5,6,7. Will Pesalelei make it up in time? He's still flopping around all over the place! The referee has called off the fight! Zama takes it!
