Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Hill (ranked 245 p4p, 12 weight class) and Phil Coleman (ranked 318 p4p, 14 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Phil Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman's corner calls for a 1-2. Coleman obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Hill takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A cross from Coleman lands.
We've been hearing reports that Hill has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Coleman moves into range and connects with a jab.
Hill shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Coleman defends it nicely.

Hill is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round but I would say that Mark Hill will probably get the nod.

Coleman clinches up against the ropes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hill wants to take the fight to the mat but Coleman manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Coleman will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Hill up against the ropes.

Coleman digs a right hand underneath Hill's ribcage. Hill let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Coleman lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Hill backwards.

Coleman works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Coleman makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Coleman lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.


It looks like Mark Hill has been cut.

Coleman has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hill clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Coleman scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Hill is looking for a way out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Coleman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Coleman has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Hill.
Hill wants to get back to his feet.

Coleman lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Coleman.
Coleman lands with a hammerfist to the side of Hill's head.
Coleman is hanging on to Hill's back as he tries to escape.
Coleman lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.


Hill is rocked!
Coleman has the hooks in. Hill is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Coleman is punishing Hill with some ground and pound.
Oh Hill is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Coleman cracks Hill with a big right hand from the back mount! Hill immediately covers up and the referee dives in to save him under a barrage of more strikes! Coleman takes this one by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phil Coleman!
A very excited looking Phil Coleman rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
