Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Garcia (ranked 4637 p4p, 394 weight class) and Kaiser Sosa (ranked 5132 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kaiser Sosa!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sosa is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Sosa gets a takedown into half guard.
Sosa tries to pass the half guard into mount. Garcia knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Garcia tries to kick Sosa off but Sosa keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Garcia is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Garcia has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Garcia's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sosa tries to roll over but Garcia keeps him under control.

Garcia pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Sosa back to the cage. Garcia follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Sosa shoots in looking for a takedown but Garcia manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sosa's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Garcia scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Sosa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Garcia is fending him off so far but Sosa persists. Nope, Garcia circles away and we're back to standing.
Sosa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Garcia pinned against the cage. Garcia gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sosa is breathing heavily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sosa is defended easily by Garcia.
Sosa darts in looking for a takedown but Garcia gets double underhooks and turns Sosa into the cage.

Sosa has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Garcia clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sosa thows a strike but Garcia uses the opportunity to reverse the position! Great move by Garcia as he ends up in Sosa 's guard!

Garcia is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Garcia has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sosa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Garcia feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sosas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Sosa takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

And Sosa tries to counter it with a takedown but Garcia pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Sosa tries to score a power double leg takedown but Garcia sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sosa somewhat.

Sosa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Garcia's waist but Garcia gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sosa off to one side.
Kaiser Sosa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Garcia tries to bum rush Sosa with a series of wild strikes but Sosa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

enabling Garcia to counter with a crisp jab.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Garcia, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
