The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Day misses with a kick to the body.
Shiit is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Day looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Shiit tries to counter with a clinch but Day shakes him off and moves away.
Day misses with a straight left.
A punch combination from Shiit misses.

Day shoots in and gets a takedown into Shiit's guard.
Day lands a couple of digs.
Day with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Day postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Day lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Day keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Shiit's head.

Day content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Day definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Shiit is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Day drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Shiit manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Day has Shiit in his guard.

Day is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shiit can do to turn this around?

Day escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shiit gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Shiit trying to control the action but Day is working from the bottom.
Day tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Shiit is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Day knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Day is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Shiit off and has taken his back!

Mustapha Shiit showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Day's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Day misses with a head kick.
Shiit misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Shiit stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Day.
Shiit tries to score a power double leg takedown but Day sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shiit somewhat.
Day connects with a high kick.
Day tried to score with a low kick but Shiit checks it.
