Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Boyko Kersikov (ranked 2412 p4p, 141 weight class) and Kern Dignity (ranked 15752 p4p, 339 weight class). Dignity has chosen Party & Bullshit as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Kern Dignity enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 15 - 1, fighting out of New York, Boyko Kersikov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 19 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kern Dignity!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kersikov throws a leg kick that is checked

and Dignity decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kersikov's guard.
Kersikov is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Dignity wants to control from the top but Kersikov keeps moving.

Kersikov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dignity is aware though and is defending well.
Kersikov trying to keep a closed guard but Dignity is proving a slippery customer.
Kersikov is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dignity postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Dignity throws a big elbow that misses.
Dignity is looking to work some ground and pound but Kersikov has wrist control.
Kersikov is trying to control the position but Dignity postures up.
Dignity slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Kersikov is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kersikov feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dignitys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Kersikov stalks Dignity and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Dignity's face. Dignity staggers backwards, shaken.

Dignity shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kersikov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Dignity has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kersikov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dignity can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Dignity drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dignity jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kersikov controls Dignity momentarily but Dignity frees himself.

Dignity drops back looking for a leg! Kersikov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kersikov manages to kick Dignity off! Dignity jumps back into Kersikov's guard.

Kersikov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dignity doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dignity manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kersikov is pulling down on Dignity's head. It's preventing any offense from Dignity, at least for the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dignity stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kersikov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kern Dignity will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Dignity gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kersikov to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Kersikov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kern Dignity has got the better of the ground game so far.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Dignity seems keen to control Kersikov's posture.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Kersikov connects with a right hand. Dignity shakes it off.
Kersikov tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Dignity counters with a takedown into side control.

Dignity working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Kersikov is trying to control Dignity's posture but Dignity avoids it.

Kersikov is looking to reverse the position.

Dignity is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kersikov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Kersikov struggling a bit here.

Dignity working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Kersikov is looking for a sweep.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Dignity wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kersikov, who protects the arm well.
Kersikov is trying to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Boyko Kersikov will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Dignity pushes down on Kersikov's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Dignity is trying to control the action in half guard but Kersikov is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Dignity is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Kersikov is looking to control Dignity's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kersikov avoid being mounted?
Kersikov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dignity's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dignity's back!

Kersikov is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Dignity is defending well though. Kersikov let's go of the attempt for now.
Kersikov is controlling the position but Dignity somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.

Dignity is rocked!
Kersikov scores with a big shot! Dignity's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Dignity! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Boyko Kersikov!
An out of breath Boyko Kersikov thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
