Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Derek Erwin (ranked 6870 p4p, 528 weight class) and Dave Arias (ranked 24558 p4p, 536 weight class). Arias has chosen Its my life as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Erwin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Erwin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Arias tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Erwin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Arias really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Erwin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Erwin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Arias uses from the top position.

Erwin is looking to cinch up a triangle. Arias throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Erwin's body to avoid the submission. Erwin has instead reached around Arias's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Erwin arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

A very excited looking Derek Erwin rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
Dave Arias spoke after the fight, saying 'When theres winning theres also loosing . tonight i loss but this is not the end its just a new beginning that means i have to learn more. And come back to win again.'.
