Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Stout (ranked 24844 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Palmer (ranked 4632 p4p, 0 weight class). John Palmer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Stephen Stout!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Palmer!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer throws a leg kick which misses Stout's front leg but catches the back leg as Stout tries to avoid it.
Palmer throws the kick towards the body but Stout avoids it.
Palmer pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Stout back to the cage. Palmer follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Stephen Stout has been cut.
Palmer jabs Stout to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Stout pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Palmer takes a kick to the side of the head.
Palmer tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Palmer tries to clinch but Stout moves out of range.
Stout is looking to counter with a body kick.
Both fighters circling a little - Palmer finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Palmer moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Palmer throws a sloppy head kick and Stout moves out of range easily.
Palmer with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

and Stout counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
John Palmer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Palmer dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Palmer lands a slapping body shot.
Palmer throws a nice head kick!
Palmer is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Stout is looking to counter the offense by Palmer and move into the clinch.
Palmer scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Stout doesn't seem bothered though.

Stout looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Palmer!
Palmer is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Stout is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stout fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Palmer in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Stout cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Stout avoids the attempt from Palmer to control.
Stout lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stout is landing with some decent strikes but Palmer is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Stout looking to finish Palmer with some ground and pound. This is bad for Palmer!

Palmer is looking to get to half guard.
Stout breaks from Palmer's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Stout has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Stout in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Stout blocks Palmer's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Stout lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Stout working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Palmer looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Stout! Submission of the night perhaps?
