Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Whorely Alvarez (ranked 2183 p4p, 273 weight class) and Cross A Zoo (ranked 1597 p4p, 208 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Alvarez throws a sloppy head kick and A Zoo moves out of range easily.
A Zoo flicks out a counter leg kick but Alvarez steps away.

Alvarez walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. A Zoo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
A Zoo wants to counter the offense by Alvarez and move into the clinch position.

Alvarez throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

A Zoo has Alvarez pressed against the cage. He pushes Alvarez back and as he springs towards him off the cage, A Zoo throws a beautiful elbow that sends Alvarez crashing to the floor! A Zoo piles on the pressure with more strikes! Alvarez is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
