Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ace Rob (ranked 700 p4p, 81 weight class) and Selfie Lord (ranked 345 p4p, 48 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ace Rob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 24 - 2, fighting out of London, Selfie Lord!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lord misses with a kick to the body

and Rob counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Lord!

Lord sneaks out the side door and pushes Rob away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Rob uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Rob has managed to clinch.
Lord tries to work over Rob's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Rob is looking to break free of the clinch but Lord has double underhooks.

Rob escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lord has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lord blocks a jab.
Rob throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Lord connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lord takes a jab right on the kisser.
Jab by Rob.
Good exchange - Lord coming out on top.

Lord gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rob to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Rob with a nice head shot there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rob drops back looking for a leg! Lord is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lord manages to kick Rob off! Rob jumps back into Lord's guard.

Rob drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rob jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Rob tries to free his leg and advance position but Lord is retaining full guard.
Rob trying to control but Lord is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lord wants to stand but Rob is controlling the position.
Rob scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lord keeping moving, preventing Rob from controlling successfully.
Rob trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rob stands up over Lord, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Rob wants to pass the guard but Lord is keeping the position.

Rob is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Lord wants to stand but Rob is controlling the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rob wants to control from the top but Lord keeps moving.
Rob prevents Lord from getting back to his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Rob throws a jab but it's blocked by Lord.
Rob looks to land a left hand but Lord moved out of range nicely.
Lord throws out a counter right but Rob avoids it with no problem.
Rob scores with a nice right hand.

Rob fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lord, pushing him back against the cage.
Lord prevents the takedown attempt.
Lord misses with a hook from the clinch.

Rob escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rob takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Rob is rocked!
Lord measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Rob! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Selfie Lord!
A relieved looking Selfie Lord thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
