PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yeshua Immanuel (ranked 19478 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wotan Yashweh (ranked 3276 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yeshua Immanuel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wotan Yashweh!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Immanuel stuffs the takedown.
No joy there for Immanuel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Yashweh changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Immanuel tries to avoid it but Yashweh manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Immanuel to the ground. Immanuel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
It looked like Immanuel was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Immanuel fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Yashweh will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Yeshua Immanuel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wotan Yashweh.
Good shot there by Immanuel.
Nice sprawl there from Immanuel as Yashweh shoots in.
Yashweh has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Yashweh shoots in for a takedown but Immanuel shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
And Immanuel counters with a quick kick to the body but Yashweh blocks it.
Nice defenses there by Immanuel.
Immanuel throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Yashweh! But no joy.
Horrible takedown attempt by Yashweh or perhaps it was just good defense by Immanuel, which made it look bad.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Immanuel lands a jab to the nose.
Immanuel misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Yashweh.
Immanuel connects with a single shot there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Immanuel slaps away a takedown attempt from Yashweh, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Yashweh tries to score a power double leg takedown but Immanuel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Yashweh somewhat.
Yashweh sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Yashweh takes one to the side of the head.
Yashweh on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Immanuel plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Yashweh misses with a takedown attempt
and Immanuel counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Yashweh darts in looking for a takedown but Immanuel gets double underhooks and turns Yashweh into the cage.
Immanuel connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Yashweh is rocked!
Immanuel flashes Yashweh a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Yashweh's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Yashweh crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Immanuel punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
