Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Altair Brain (ranked 1389 p4p, 175 weight class) and EA Poe (ranked 1631 p4p, 201 weight class). Brain's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, 300 Violin. Poe has chosen Unleashing The Bloodthirsty by Cannibal Corpse as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Altair Brain has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brain throws a right hand that misses
and Poe counters with a stiff right hand.
Brain tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Poe was well out of range. Poor timing from Brain.

Poe misses with a takedown attempt - Brain sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Brain dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Poe. That did some damage!

Brain tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Poe wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Poe is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brain is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Altair Brain.
Well Brain has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
