Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Child (ranked 915 p4p, 124 weight class) and Morgan Hed (ranked 1967 p4p, 239 weight class). Child comes to the cage accompanied by VooDoo . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Child works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Hed uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Child.

Hed closes the distance but Child moves to the side
and Child cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hed throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Child throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Hed shoots in and gets a takedown into Child's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hed throws a big right hand that misses.
Child avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Child wants to get back to his feet but Hed is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Child throws out a loose jab but Hed uses good head movement to avoid it.

Hed changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Child tries to avoid it but Hed manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Child to the ground. Child escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hed is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Child's half guard.

Hed looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Child with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Hed with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Child to score with a decent uppercut.

Hed shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Child is trying to defend but Hed finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Hed is nestled in close to Child, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Child enables Hed to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Child manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
