Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hayden Wade (ranked 4856 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Iovine (ranked 7109 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hayden Wade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Iovine!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iovine moves into range and clinches up with Wade.
Wade is pushing Iovine up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Iovine jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wade walks away with a smile on his face. Iovine gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Wade looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Iovine throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Iovine misses with a straight left.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Iovine shoots for a takedown but Wade saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Iovine closes the distance and clinches up with Wade, looking for a takedown. Iovine pushes Wade against the cage but Wade circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Horrible takedown attempt by Wade or perhaps it was just good defense by Iovine, which made it look bad.
Wade fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Iovine to the ground. Wade is now in Iovine's guard.

Wade drops back looking for a leg! Iovine is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Iovine manages to kick Wade off! Wade jumps back into Iovine's guard.

Iovine is trying to control the position but Wade postures up.
Iovine avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Iovine escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wade gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Iovine has his foot on Wade's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wade works his way back into a safe position though.
Wade postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Iovine had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wade defends it easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Wade has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Iovine is proving hard to escape from.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Iovine tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wade sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Iovine somewhat.
Wade shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Iovine sprawls well. Iovine wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wade gets slowly back to his feet.
Wade tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Wade looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Iovine is fending him off so far but Wade persists. Nope, Iovine circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close round but I would say that Hayden Wade will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Wade dives in and grabs Iovine's left leg, looking for a takedown. Iovine pushes down on Wade's head and hops out.
It seemed like Iovine was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Iovine throws a series of punches but Wade moves out of range.
Wade pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Iovine back to the cage. Wade follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Wade tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Iovine manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hayden Wade is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Wade shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Wade knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Iovine on the ground.

Iovine utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Wade keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Iovine's head.
Iovine working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wade doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wade manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wade shoots in for a takedown but Iovine shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hayden Wade.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wade, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
