Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Elite Champ (ranked 4872 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Blanco Gracie (ranked 4077 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Champ uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gracie.
Gracie misses with the combination.
Champ swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Gracie keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Champ.
Champ rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gracie counters with a nice body shot.

Champ pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Champ misses with a hook to the body
and Gracie counters with a body kick.
Gracie fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Champ has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie lands a head shot.

Gracie drops Champ with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Champ looks back up at him and smiles so Gracie waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Champ is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gracie lands a nice leg kick that just misses Champ's sensitive parts.
Oh Champ is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gracie fakes the body blow, causing Champ to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Champ goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
