Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mario Beasley (ranked 24669 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt HP (ranked 4764 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beasley shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. HP defends it nicely.

HP moves into the clinch successfully.

Beasley is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. HP can't fight it off and eventually Beasley manages to take the fight to the floor. HP looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

HP uses the cage to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beasley dives in and scores a takedown into HP's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Beasley thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

HP scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Beasley feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
HP throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Beasley wanted to stand there but HP had control of the position.

Beasley got a little sloppy there for a moment and HP has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Beasley has managed to get both his arms back between HP's legs - danger averted.
HP is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

HP is looking to advance position but Beasley won't allow it.

Beasley is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of HP's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take HP's back!

HP is bucking up trying to escape but Beasley cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
HP in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
HP tries to lock up and control but Beasley gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
HP is squirming around, avoiding Beasley's attempts to control the action.

Beasley has control of HP's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and HP regains control of the situation pretty easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Mario Beasley will probably get the nod.

HP wants to control but Beasley is keeping busy.

Beasley has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, HP has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Beasley is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. HP defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That's time! Beasley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

HP has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Beasley off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

HP kicks Beasley off and gets to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
HP shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Beasley as he jumps to the side.
Beasley drops down looking for a counter takedown but HP sprawls and moves away.

HP drops down looking for an ankle pick but Beasley pulls his leg out and moves away.

HP shoots in for a double leg but Beasley sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Beasley wants to finish this one by submission but HP is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Beasley.

Beasley postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. HP looks a forlorn figure.

Beasley jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but HP manages to avoid the submission attempt.
HP is trying to get back to his feet.
Matt HP has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mario Beasley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Beasley wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by HP, who protects the arm well.
