The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitzsimmons throws a hook but Romeo avoids it easily.
We've been informed that Fitzsimmons has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Fitzsimmons ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Fitzsimmons's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Romeo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fitzsimmons scrambles back to his feet.
A swing and a miss from Fitzsimmons.
Romeo appears to be looking for a big counter.
Romeo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Fitzsimmons lands a really nice looking cross but Romeo seems unphased.

Romeo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fitzsimmons was well out of range. Poor timing from Romeo.

Romeo on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
