PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Bruno Brackin (ranked 3192 p4p, 280 weight class) and Benson Little (ranked 5267 p4p, 377 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Benson Little!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Little instigates a clinch.

Brackin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

As Little tries to get set, Brackin tries to push him back and clinch up but Little manages to avoid the attempt.

Little tries to clinch up but Brackin circles away and keeps his distance.
Brackin throws a wild body kick that Little sees coming a mile off.

Brackin feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Little's calf.

Little clinches.
Little trying to control the position but instead, Brackin has worked for underhooks and has pushed Little into the ropes.
Come on Brackin - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Brackin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Brackin manages to break the clinch.

Brackin keeps control of Little as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

and Little counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Little cracks Brackin with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.

That was a close round but I would say that Bruno Brackin will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

The fight stays on the outside here - Little looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Little doesn't manage to clinch there - Brackin circles away.

and Brackin counters with a series of strikes. Little will be more careful next time no doubt.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brackin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
