Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Sharp (ranked 23220 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriele Altini (ranked 4738 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Sterling Sharp has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Sterling Sharp seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Sharp counters with a takedown into side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Altini tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Sharp avoids it.
Altini is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Altini lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Sharp backwards.
Sharp is looking to take this one to the mat.
Altini is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Sharp has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Altini after a bit of a struggle.

Sharp is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Altini to keep the fight standing.

Oh Sharp is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sharp jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Altini walks away with a smile on his face. Sharp gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Altini landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Altini creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Sharp with a big uppercut! Sharp tries to clinch up but Altini pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Sharp to the mat! Sharp covers up and Altini unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
