The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Washington counters with a nice uppercut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Delmore buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Washington lands a left and a right that send Delmore crashing to the mat, dazed. Washington thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Nice uppercut lands for Washington. That snapped Delmore's head back.
Thizzelle Washington is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Delmore throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Washington feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Delmore sprawling to the canvas! Delmore rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Washington finish him?!

Delmore is rocked!
Washington grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Delmore takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Washington cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
