Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cletus Ellison (ranked 4755 p4p, 0 weight class) and Satendra Apolosi (ranked 3072 p4p, 165 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Satendra Apolosi!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Apolosi misses with a straight right.
Ellison tries to counter with a takedown but Apolosi is quick to defend against it.
Apolosi connects with a body shot.

Ellison gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Apolosi to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Ellison manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Satendra Apolosi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A bone on bone clash there as Ellison blocks the leg kick.
Ellison looks for a takedown but Apolosi sprawls well.
Apolosi unleashes a big counter combination but Ellison bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Apolosi throws out a loose jab but Ellison uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Ellison decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Apolosi's guard.

Apolosi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ellison defends it easily.
Ellison really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Apolosi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ellison. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's time! Ellison's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Apolosi wants to get back to his feet but Ellison is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ellison is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Apolosi can do to turn this around?

Apolosi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ellison doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ellison manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ellison drops back looking for a leg! Apolosi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Apolosi manages to kick Ellison off! Ellison jumps back into Apolosi's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Apolosi is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Apolosi has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Ellison has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Horrible takedown attempt by Ellison or perhaps it was just good defense by Apolosi, which made it look bad.

Ellison checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Ellison takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ellison slips a jab and a cross from Apolosi.

It looks like Cletus Ellison has been cut.
Apolosi connects with a body shot that sends Ellison's belly button to the back.
Apolosi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ellison.
Ellison takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cletus Ellison is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Apolosi fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Apolosi throws a push kick but Ellison slaps the foot to one side.

Ellison throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Apolosi's waist but Apolosi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ellison off to one side.

Satendra Apolosi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Apolosi pushes Ellison off and scrambles back to his feet.

The fighters circle momentarily. Apolosi darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

As Apolosi tries to get set, Ellison tries to push him back and clinch up but Apolosi manages to avoid the attempt.
Ellison shoots in looking for a takedown but Apolosi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ellison's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Apolosi.

Apolosi tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ellison's elbow.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Apolosi creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

and Ellison holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Apolosi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Apolosi looks to land a left hand but Ellison moved out of range nicely.
Ellison tries to counter with a takedown but Apolosi is quick to defend against it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ellison is defended easily by Apolosi.
Satendra Apolosi seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Apolosi stuffs the takedown.
Apolosi goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


Ellison is rocked!
Apolosi cracks Ellison with a hook to the temple - Ellison is on wobbly legs here! Apolosi swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Ellison falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Apolosi wins by TKO!
