PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xix Zyx (ranked 4312 p4p, 225 weight class) and Juan Villa (ranked 3906 p4p, 206 weight class). Zyx comes to the cage accompanied by Welcome to Hell. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Juan Villa!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Villa.
Villa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Zyx circles away quickly and effectively.
Zyx really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Villa looks to throw the jab but Zyx is out of range.
Zyx shoots in and drives through. Villa sprawls well.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Zyx.
Zyx moves out of range as Villa throws a body kick.
Nice sprawl there from Villa as Zyx shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xix Zyx. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Villa.
Zyx shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Villa defends it nicely.
Zyx throws the left hand but Villa avoids the punch easily.
Villa tries a quick counter leg kick but Zyx is wise to it.
Zyx tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Villa defends well and Zyx ends up having to push Villa into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
It seemed like Villa was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Zyx is breathing heavily.
A left and a right from Villa both land. Nice combination.

A head kick lands from Villa that sends Zyx to the canvas. Zyx tries to scramble back to his feet but Villa brings him back down into side control.

Zyx is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Villa decides to stand up, so the ref orders Zyx to his feet.
Oh Zyx is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Villa and Zyx are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Villa throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Zyx into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Villa knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
