Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sampson Shain (ranked 1742 p4p, 204 weight class) and Lazy Bastard (ranked 1386 p4p, 168 weight class). Lazy Bastard will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shain walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Shain scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Shain turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Bastard misses with a hook. Shain ducked under it nicely.
Bastard throws a body punch but Shain moves out of range.
Bastard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bastard swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Shain connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Shain moves out of range as Bastard strikes.
A little feinted left hand from Shain on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Bastard has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Shain.

Shain throws a hook but Bastard avoids it easily.

Shain pivots, looking for a leg kick but Bastard is out of range and Shain settles back down.
Bastard takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

It looks like Sampson Shain has been cut.

Bastard tries to bum rush Shain with a series of wild strikes but Shain uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Shain swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Bastard's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Shain feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bastard's calf.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bastard takes a swing at Shain's ribcage but misses.
It appears Shain was looking to counter with a kick there.

Bastard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Oh Shain is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bastard rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shain moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
BOOM! Bastard lands a beautiful left hook that drops Shain. Shain tries to recover but Bastard is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Shain lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
