Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Lambert George (ranked 16322 p4p, 418 weight class) and John Lennon (ranked 3888 p4p, 307 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lambert George!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Lennon!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
George uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lennon.
Lennon waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract George.
Lennon on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
George plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by George.
Lennon takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Lennon misses with a hook.
The fighters circle momentarily. Lennon darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
George lands a head kick. Lennon smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
George throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
George chopping away at his opponent's legs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A telegraphed right hand from Lennon misses the target.
Good leg kick by Lennon there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Lennon closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Lennon throws a head kick but George moves out of range.
Lennon has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Lennon connects with a jab.
Lennon lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
George throws a jab but it's blocked by Lennon.
Lennon connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between George's hands.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nice uppercut lands for Lennon. That snapped George's head back.


George is rocked!
George lunges at Lennon with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lennon's hand.
Lennon takes one on the chin but seems OK.
George pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lennon throws a jab but it's blocked by George.
George takes a shot to the body in his stride.
George circles away from the clinch attempt.
A head kick misses from George.
Lennon looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
George bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Lennon is looking to clinch.
Lennon avoids the head kick by George.
Lennon blocks a leg kick.
Lennon appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
George throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lennon sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by George.
George will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lennon throws out a counter right but George avoids it with no problem.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
George displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lennon throws out the jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
George lands a really nice looking cross but Lennon seems unphased.
George checks a leg kick nicely.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as George checks a leg kick.

Lennon gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
George lands a knee to the head.
Lennon throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Lennon takes an elbow to the forehead.
Lennon throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
George is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
George misses with a punch on the inside.
George takes an elbow to the forehead.
Lennon avoids a wild elbow strike from George.
Lennon lands an elbow inside.
George pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.
A nice right hand lands inside from George.
Lennon lands with a left to the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lennon lands an uppercut.
Lennon swings away with an uppercut that misses.
George blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Lennon goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
With the fighters up against the ropes, George throws an elbow but misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lambert George will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Lennon tries to clinch up.
Lennon moves away from the strike by George.
Lennon takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Lambert George seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lennon tries to score with a low kick but George moves his leg out of the way.
As Lennon tries to get set, George tries to push him back and clinch up but Lennon manages to avoid the attempt.
George throws a sloppy head kick and Lennon moves out of range easily.
Lennon needs to keep his hands up - George had a free shot at his head there.


Lennon is rocked!
George looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Look low, kick high! George uses the oldest trick in the book to send Lennon tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! George is absolutely delighted - when Lennon wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Lambert George!
Lambert George bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
