Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Warren Francis (ranked 7016 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hunter Boles (ranked 5712 p4p, 0 weight class). Boles comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Neva Cared kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Warren Francis has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boles shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Francis's guard.
Boles won't allow Francis to sweep him here.
Boles wants to control from the top but Francis keeps moving.
Francis lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Boles really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Francis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Francis drops back, looking for a kneebar! Boles looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Boles looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Boles!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boles is looking to take a break and control but Francis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Boles is working for a kimura but Francis is defending it quite comfortably.

Boles looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Francis manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Boles keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Boles gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Francis is pressing down on Boles's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Francis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Boles is controlling him.
Francis wants to sweep here but Boles controlling him for the moment.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Let's hope that Boles has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
