Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael MP (ranked 4226 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tank Ibbot (ranked 3126 p4p, 50 weight class). MP comes into the arena with Whitesnake - Is This Love? blaring out of the sound system. Tank Ibbot has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ibbot gets caught flat footed, as MP shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
MP trying to control the position from guard on top but Ibbot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
MP landing with the ground and pound.
MP throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ibbot works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
MP lands a couple of digs.
MP stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ibbot swivels though and keeps the full guard.
MP lands a couple of elbows.
MP stands up over Ibbot , holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
MP with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
MP pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ibbot is keeping the position for now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

MP wants to pass the guard but Ibbot is keeping the position.
MP throws a big right hand that misses.
MP slips nicely into half guard.

MP working over Ibbot with some ground and pound. Ibbot looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
MP seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Ibbot has hold of MP's hands but MP slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
MP not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Ground and pound from MP.
MP working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
MP will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
MP seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
MP is taking a breather. Ibbot says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. MP lands a nice short elbow.
Ibbot is trying to defend against the ground and pound but MP scores with a couple of nice shots.

MP is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Ibbot is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Michael MP bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
Tank Ibbot was interviewed post fight and said 'He cheated he's on roids!'.
