Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Derrick Wong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Catalin Ivan!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ivan throws a low kick but it's checked well by Wong.
Wong misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And Ivan tries to counter it with a takedown but Wong pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Wong wants to clinch up but Ivan keeps it at a distance.
Wong sets himself, and Ivan steps forward looking for the clinch! Wong avoids it this time.

Ivan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Wong has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Ivan is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Ivan has Wong pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ivan pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Wong tumbling to the mat - Ivan dives into Wong's guard.

Wong manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ivan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Wong trying to control the position but instead, Ivan has worked for underhooks and has pushed Wong into the cage.

Ivan is trying to trip Wong. He has hold of a leg but Wong is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ivan persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Wong is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Ivan pulls guard.
Ivan throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Wong decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ivan, up you get!
Catalin Ivan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wong shoots in and bounces Ivan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Ivan wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Wong manages to pass to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wong prevents Ivan from standing back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ivan holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Ivan trying to hold on to Wong's head to control him but Wong postures up.
Ivan has hold of Wong's hands but Wong slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Ivan is looking to get back to full guard here but Wong has managed to pass to side control instead.
Ivan is looking for a sweep.

Ivan is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Wong's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Wong! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Ivan has tapped! This one is allllll over!
