The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ahvenus gets a double leg takedown into Menard's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Menard can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ahvenus slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Menard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ahvenus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ahvenus connects with a nice short shot to Menard's temple.
Menard is still in real trouble! Can Ahvenus finish him?
Ahvenus scores with a big shot! Menard's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Menard! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
