Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Sins (ranked 4622 p4p, 346 weight class) and Eddie Knight (ranked 4815 p4p, 456 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knight rushes Sins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Sins tries for a takedown but Knight manages to get underhooks.
Sins is trying to pull guard but Knight turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Knight is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Sins is defending well.

Sins throws a right hand that Knight ducks under and follows up with a left that Knight also avoids with ease.

Sins throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Knight fails with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sins tests Knight's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Knight has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Sins shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Knight eats them both and turns towards Sins to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Knight is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sins sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Knight throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sins tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Knight is in Sins's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sins is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Knight slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Knight pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Sins back to the cage. Knight follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

A decent looking cross lands there for Sins.
Sins throws a leg kick but Knight checks it.
And Knight tries to counter it with a takedown but Sins pushes his down on his head and steps out.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Knight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Knight is working for takedown but Sins is calmly controlling the position for now.

Knight shoots in for a double leg but Sins sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Knight stuns Sins with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Knight closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Sins manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Knight keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Horrible takedown attempt by Knight or perhaps it was just good defense by Sins, which made it look bad.

Sins stalks Knight and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Knight's face. Knight staggers backwards, shaken.

and Sins cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Knight tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sins defends well and Knight ends up having to push Sins into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Sins is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sins, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
