Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rashad Mathis (ranked 22805 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Tyson (ranked 4149 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathis tries to clinch up but Tyson circles away and keeps his distance.
Mike Tyson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tyson shoots in looking for a takedown. Mathis tries to sprawl out of it but Tyson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mathis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mathis jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Mathis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Tyson darts in and clinches Mathis up against the cage.

Mathis pulls Tyson into guard.

Mathis is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tyson is aware though and is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mathis is controlling Tyson's posture.

Tyson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mathis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Tyson is working Mathis over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Tyson has managed to clinch.
Mathis tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tyson smiles and moves away.
Mathis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Tyson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Tyson throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Mathis is breathing heavily.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Mathis blocks an elbow strike from Tyson.

Tyson avoids a wild elbow strike from Mathis.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Tyson.

It looks like Rashad Mathis has been cut.
Mathis managing to block the knees to the body from Tyson.
Tyson tries to pull guard but Mathis won't allow it.

Tyson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mathis tries to keep at a distance but Tyson has taken the fight into the clinch.

Tyson manages to pull guard.
Tyson throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tyson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Tyson pushes a forearm under Mathis's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Mathis is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
